The Classic Colour Combination

~~ Black and White ~~
Surely its the most classic and timeless of colour combinations, that Little Black Dress is always a winner for a last minute wardrobe change right?

This is a set that I pulled out of the kiln this morning, soaked off and cleaned. The beads are available individually, but I can also do up a custom order for the full set.

There are seriously, endless possibilities in the creation of sets of beads and in the creation of a single bead for that matter.......

New listings will be up in the Etsy store shortly.
This batch are uncored and just plain glass (waiting on new materials to arrive!)

I hope you've all had a wonderful Easter, I've been flat out and I still have the housework to do, mow the lawns and wash the dogs...... and list beads.  We all know how that's going to work out don't we? ;)

The beauty of my beads is that they are unique and handmade in a private home studio.
I make my beads for the love of the art, not for the sale of the finished product.  I limit the number of beads made in each design so that they retain their uniqueness and exclusivity.

Please do not mistake my beads for being 'fake' Pandora or 'fake' Murano glass.
I use the same glass that the artists on the island of Murano use to make their beads and sculptures.  I also use a very similar, if not identical, technique (I've been there, seen that!)

They are also much superior to those little $1.50 and $2 imitation beads you can buy at a flea market with nasty silver plated rivets that fall out.  Mine are much prettier for starters, and all of my beads are annealed - this removes the stress from the glass and prevents cracking, and mine are not copies of another artists or designers work.

Each of my beads has been handmade one at a time, in the flame of my gas fuelled torch (as pictured here) in my home studio in Perth, Western Australia.   My studio is literally a part of my home (the 4th bedroom to be exact) and is therefore not open to the public.

I also work 4 days a week as a Bookkeeper for my Physiotherapist (slash entrepreneur!) and am also studying to further enhance my Bookkeeping skills & Knowledge.

Little Gems is an offshoot of my main label, Glass Candy (Please click on tab above to visit that site)
